A Set of Three Traditional style Chubber/Loafer floats.

Description

These floats are made from a Balsa body and cane stem, first they are stained, sanded and sealed next the tips are painted red over yellow. They are then dressed and lined using red/black jasper (vintage Gudebrod) and black silk thread. Finally, they all have a minimum of 10 coats of lacquer.

Their lengths are 10.5,12.2 & 13.3 cm

With all handmade floats the cocking weight may vary a little, these are 2, 2.8 & 3.2gm +, a weight that makes the float sit up well.

My floats are signed or initialled and dated. If you order a bespoke set, then at time of ordering I can add the buyer’s name to the floats.

I would recommend the use of a soft float rubber band, to help protect your float.
