A set of four traditional style Chubber/Loafer floats.

Description

These floats are made from a Balsa body and cane stem, first they are stained, sanded and sealed next the tips are painted fluorescent pink over white. They are then dressed and lined using emerald, green and black silk thread. Finally, they all have a minimum of 10 coats of lacquer.

Their lengths are 10.5,12.2, 13.3 & 13.3 cm

With all handmade floats the cocking weight may vary a little, these are 2, 3, 4 & 6gm +, a weight that makes the float sit up well.

My floats are signed or initialled and dated. If you order a bespoke set, then at time of ordering I can add the buyer’s name to the floats.

I would recommend the use of a soft float rubber band, to help protect your float.
